Mill Creek Marsh Offers Access to Nature

Purchased in 1996 and enhanced by the New Jersey Meadowlands Commission starting in 1998, the Mill Creek Marsh brings together an ecosystem one rarely sees so close to the city. Educational signage guides the way along the 1.5-mile trail, offering the opportunity to encounter some of the 280 species of birds documented in the Meadowlands. Plus, the marsh contains fiddler crabs, terrapin turtles, and many other amphibians and water-dwellers.

Mill Creek Marsh is located near Mill Creek Mall in Secaucus, NJ. Along with easy access via the New Jersey Turnpike, the trailhead is also accessible via the #320 bus from Port Authority Bus Terminal, which stops at the Mill Creek Mall.
