Whether in film or in the exploding world of digital games, character illustration plays a significant role in humanizing the viewers experience.  More than a simple drawing, the design of characters is a refined form of concept art that involves visually defining a characters physical appearance, personality, behavior and aesthetic.

Aspiring Old Bridge digital artists ages 9 thru 14 at Woodhaven CommonsWoodhaven Meadows and Woodhaven Terrace can bring their tablet or stylus to the Old Bridge Library for a 10 part series entitled DIGITAL CHARACTER ILLUSTRATION to either refine or begin their journey in this popular art form. While the instructor will be using the popular PROCREATE illustration program, any digital art app will work just fine for this learning experience.

With classes beginning August 19, participants are invited to register for any (or all) of the free(!) classes and registration is required separately for each individual class. Below you will find the date and description of each class’ focus from which to choose and by clicking on each title you’ll be taken to the registration page for that particular specialty.
