That landmark year that black and white television became color in our house didn’t make much of a difference for 10 year old me in 1965.  Sure, I loved (and still love) TV and I appreciate “The Twilight Zone” just as it was shot; in monochrome perfection. By the time Norman Lear’s “All in the Family” opened up the 1970’s – and our minds – to the realities and challenges any American neighborhood faces, we were a mere decades blink away from the 1980’s vibe of luxury consumption, lust and power as displayed on “Dallas”.
