Veterans Day: it’s a day honoring all of those who have served in our nation’s armed services. Set to coincide with Remembrance Day and Armistice Day — holidays observed in other countries — Veterans Day was first brought into being following the end of World War I. Unlike many US holidays which change date each year to extend the weekend, Veterans Day is held on November 11th every year.
This Veterans Day, Woodbridge Township will be hosting its 9th Annual Veterans Day Parade. Starting at 1:30 on November 11th, head to Main Street in Downtown Woodbridge to pay respects to those who have served. The parade will offer particular salute to the Woodbridge Veterans Alliance, American Legion T. Nulty Post #471, American Legion Posts #87 and #248, Veterans of Foreign Wars Posts #4410, #7164, #2636, #6090, #1352 and #6061, Disabled American Veterans Chapter #56, and Cpl. Kevin J. Reinhard Marine Corps League Detachment #189.
