Since 1982, the New Jersey Devils — the Garden State’s NHL superstars — have been skating, shooting and scoring up and down the ice. Now, the three-time Stanley Cup-winning team is in the final weeks of its 2013-14 season. And, on March 18th, Woodbridge Township will be receiving some special recognition from the state’s favorite athletes on ice.
Part of the “My Town Series,” the game, in which the Devils face off against the Boston Bruins, will feature an honorary Woodbridge captain, the Woodbridge High school choir singing before the game, an appearance by the local color guard, in-game recognition of Woodbridge-native and NFL star Eric LeGrand, a Woodbridge welcome video and more. Hockey fans from Woodbridge and elsewhere are invited to come out to Prudential Center, take in the game, and cheer on the local community. A portion of all tickets sales will go toward supporting Woodbridge youth recreation programming.
Come on out on your own or with a group, and see Woodbridge get treatment befitting a championship-winning team — and an award-winning town. Tickets are on sale now.
