April is here, and that means that Woodbridge is once more celebrating youth month — a month filled with events, gatherings, awards and more, all with a focus on the township’s young people.
This April, tots and teens alike can look forward to events designed just for them. These include a student works exhibit at Barron Arts Center, family and teen movie nights, the Mayor’s youth volunteer awards, games, sports, crafts and more.
Woodbridge Public Library is getting in on the fun, with several events geared toward middle and high schoolers in town — from creative activities such as craft programs to a practical seminar program called “How to Pay for College Without Going Broke,” to be held April 28th at 8pm at the Main Library.
The library is also hosting events as part of a poetry-themed craft program — a nod to the fact that April also happens to be National Poetry Month. These events involve mixed bag poetry, black-out poetry, and DIY magnetic poetry kit-making, and will take place four times throughout the month.
