If you’re looking for world-class theater in the Garden State, look no further than the McCarter Theatre in Princeton, NJ. First opened in 1930, over the years this vaunted theater has been home to some historical moments in the arts — including the debut performances of plays like You Can’t Take It With You and Thornton Wilder’s Our Town, and performances by luminaries like Katharine Hepburn.

This season, the star-studded shows continue. On stage next is a new musical called Dreaming Zenzile, based on the life of South African activist and musical legend Miriam Makeba, and starring Somi Kakoma, a Grammy-nominated musician and performer. Performances are running from January 20th through February 13th, and tickets are available at the McCarter website.

Later this year, look forward to Ride the Cyclone: The Musical, a genre-bending story coming to the stage from April 30th through May 29th. For a full calendar of McCarter offerings, visit the theater online.

With the rise of the Omicron variant, the McCarter Theatre continues to have safety precautions in place. All theatergoers will be required to show proof of vaccination and wear masks during performances.
