This summer, Central Jersey residents have enjoyed celebration upon celebration in honor of homespun Jersey pride and the diverse cultures in this state. On September 24th, the party continues, as locals gather for a weekend of food, music, and culture, kicking off the 11th Annual Mercer County Italian American Festival. Held over three days in West Windsor’s Mercer County Park, the festival is an opportunity for Italian Americans and those interested in the culture to celebrate the unique legacy of Italians in New Jersey.

Sponsored by the Mercer County Italian-American Association, the festival is designed to recognize Italian history, language and traditions, while uniting New Jersey’s diverse Italian-American community. Guests can look forward to a Food Piazza featuring food from local restaurants and vendors, plus dedicated tents including a Dance Tent, Dining Tents, and an Italian Market Tent. Moreover, the festival will feature amusement rides, theatre performances, fireworks, music and Sunday Mass.

The sure-to-please entertainment will include tributes to some of the best-loved American performance acts, including a Jerry Lewis/Dean Martin tribute duo and a spot-on rendering of the Abbott and Costello Show. Plus, guests can look forward to a range of unique and lively performances: from Angelo the Italian Cowboy to the mesmerizing singer/songwriter Giada Valenti.

These fun-filled days kick off a month of festivities: October marks Italian heritage month, bringing continued opportunities to celebrate Italian culture.
