If it weren’t for my nephew Jake, I’d know absolutely nothing about Disc Golf! That’s because Jake is an ultimate frisbee player who introduced me to the game of Disc Golf a few years ago because he knew his uncle (me, of course) loved golf and could fling a frisbee but not keep pace with his super-fit pack of ultimate frisbee devotee friends. Disc Golf, also known as frisbee golf, is a flying disc sport in which players throw a disc at a target; it is played using rules similar to golf. The sport is usually played on a course with 9 or 18 holes.

West Windsor residents at Princeton Terrace who enjoy a low-intensity (but high level fun) game that combines golf concepts with precision frisbee placement would do well to head to nearby Mercer County Park where the golf club does a great job maintaining their disc golf course. You can expect to be outdoors between 1.5 and 2.5 hours and I assure you that you and your companions will be delighted in both the challenge and fun of playing Disk Golf!

For a comprehensive guide, complete with reviews (highly rated!), course maps and access to real time course traffic click here and you’ll be taken to the UDisk webpage for this course. The UDisk website and app allows user to discover over 15,000 courses worldwide, keep score with friends, track throws and round statistics, find and follow events, and much more.

Like Golf, people who play Disk Golf love their game and take their game seriously! They even have their own association called the Professional Disk Golf Association that you can visit by clicking here.
