It pays to have a company like UPS here in New Jersey. Besides being one of the state’s largest employers, with almost 15,000 employees, UPS has recently made its presence felt in another way: by donating $25,000 to the Boys & Girls Club of Hudson County in support of their new charter school, the Great Future Charter High School for the Health Sciences.
This is not the first time that UPS has donated to the Boys & Girls Club. In the past, the corporation has given funds to the organization in support of other initiatives, including one that provides training and volunteers in support of safe driving for teenagers.
The new charter school is a joint project of the Boys & Girls Club and Barnabas Health — another one of New Jersey’s top employers, with approximately 18,000 employees.
