If last month’s biking in Elizabeth didn’t satisfy your cycling desires, consider participating in the Princeton Tour de Cure, coming to Mercer County, NJ on Saturday, June 8th, 2013 from 2pm-4pm.

This exciting event brings together bike riding and fundraising to create a memorable day for all participants. The Tour de Cure starts and ends at the ETS Campus, located at 660 Rosedale Road in Princeton, NJ, and offers routes for cyclists of all abilities, from the 10 mile ride all the way up to the 100 mile odyssey. Along the way, riders will be aided by route marshals, rest stops (equipped with water and snacks), mechanical assistance in case your bike acts up, and more. Plus, you’ll be supported by cheering supporters, impressive fellow cyclists, “Red Riders” who have diabetes and inspire you to continue, and the fact that you’re doing something significant for those in need.

More than just a bike ride, the Tour de Cure is an opportunity to raise money for an urgent cause. Diabetes continues to afflict millions of people in New Jersey and across the United States; help raise money for research, education and advocacy to fight this condition. Riders must pay a $25 registration fee and raise a minimum of $200 to participate. Everyone who raises $500 or more receives a free Tour de Cure jersey as a thank you gift.
