How can you live cleaner and greener in the Garden State? At this year’s Monroe Township Green Fair, learn how you can reduce your carbon footprint and start living more sustainably for cheap in Monroe, around New Jersey, or wherever you might be.

Now in its third year, the fair is filled with tips, tricks and tools for living more eco-friendly. On Saturday, October 6th from 10am to 3pm, head over to Oak Tree School, where you’ll find “green” vendors, a bicycle exchange, eco-friendly organizations and more.

In particular, get excited for the “freecycling” station. Got some books collecting dust in your basement? How about that old couch from your bachelor days? Bring old bookshelves, clothes, or any other items sitting in your house in good condition to get “freecycled”: drop ‘em off, and other residents can pick ‘em up. And remember: if you make room in your own residence by clearing out old goods, you’ll have space to collect other folks’ discarded treasures.
