What I remember growing up in Union County were the nights preceding our summer weekend trips down the shore that would sometimes include a foray to Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson. My sister and I would petition our parents to make that the first destination before setting foot on the sandy shores of nearby Belmar. We couldn’t wait!
As you may have heard come November, our cherished Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson will be closing in November after decades of family fun. Weather permitting, the park will be open daily through Labor Day. Here’s a list of some of the special events for swan song summer 2025;
- Star-Spangled Nights: July 4 and 5
- Summerbration: July 4 to Aug. 17
- Fright Fest: Sept. 12 to Nov. 2 (select days)
- Kids Boo Fest: Saturdays and Sundays Sept. 13 to Nov. 2
- Oktoberfest: Saturday and Sundays, Sept. 13 to Nov 2.
