Bayonne is a city for people who love the water. And if you’re a person who also enjoys melodious music on a warm summer’s evening, you’re bound to enjoy Bayonne’s Summer Sounds by the Bay, a concert series that kicked off earlier this month with a performance by the classic rock and blues group Blue Dawg Band and closes out on Wednesday, August 26th with rock ‘n roll from the 50s, 60s, and 70s courtesy of the Bronx Wanderers.

At 7pm every Wednesday through the end of next month, head to DiDomnico-16ht Street Park. Over the remaining weeks, you can look forward to a range of musical sounds. On July 29th, enjoy music from Epic Soul, presenting classic soul, rhythm and blues and hits from today, while on August 5th, The Fabulous Grease Band will be performing dance songs from the 1950s through the 1990. On August 12th, there’ll be jazz, blues and pop from Cynthia Holiday and Jazzique, while the following Wednesday, August 19th, the series will present big band, motown, oldies, swing, show tunes and ballroom from The Symphonics.

Summer Sounds by the Bay concerts are held at the amphitheater on the lower level of DiDomenico-16th Street Park, located between Avenue A and Newark Bay in Bayonne, NJ.
