This summer, Perth Amboy’s been a happening place to be. With a host of youth, teen, adult and senior programming, plus family trips, special events and more, there’s been something for everyone–and August has only just begun.
Youth and teens in Perth Amboy have had access to a range of summer camps, programs and leagues–most free of charge. July brought cheerleading clinic, basketball clinic, junior golf camp, urban soccer training camp and more. For the artistically-inclined, there’s been guitar classes, drumming classes, crochet, and portrait drawing, plus the Perth Amboy Gallery Center for the Arts Summer 2012 Art Camp for kids aged 7-14.
Wondering why the kids get all the fun? This summer, adult residents have enjoyed kayaking, tennis and, for a fee, fitness boot camp. And senior citizens have had the Columbus Flea Market, the Seniors’ 4th of July Celebration, and, of course, the standard monthly seniors’ programming, including arts and crafts nights on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month, senior exercise classes on Tuesdays, Tai-Chi/Zumba classes on Thursdays, and more.
