Summer is time to celebrate culture in Perth Amboy. Last Saturday, May 27th, the cultural festivities kicked off with the Perth Amboy Greek Festival, held on Memorial Day at the St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church waterfront — and the fun’s just getting started.
This month, look forward to a number of cultural events — from the Perth Amboy Puerto Rican Festival, coming up June 9th-11th at Rudyk Park, to the Ukrainian Cultural and Heritage Festival, coming to town on June 24th, and being hosted at the Ukrainian Catholic Church of the Assumption, located at 684 Alta Vista Place. Later this summer, look forward to the Perth Amboy Dominican Festival, to be held on the waterfront August 11th-13th.
All of the festivals will feature local food and music, with some offering a range of other delights, including performances, shopping, raffles, rides and more.
