After a summer of concerts and outdoor films, what kinds of fun still await for Carteret residents? Many kinds.

Over the next couple weeks, the borough is offering summer field trips. On August 14th, head down to Point Pleasant for a beach day. More of a sports spectator? Two days later, residents can head to watch Trenton Thunder play their Minor League Baseball best. On August 18th, an organized trip will head over to the Bronx Zoo to see the animals, while August 21st brings another beach day, this time at Seaside Heights. For those wanting to stay closer to home, the borough’s Concerts in the Park series has a few more performances left, all held at 7pm in Carteret Park. On August 17th, look forward to a performance by The Crosstones, playing doo wop loves songs, while August 24th brings jazz, R&B, motown and contemporary from Karickter Band and August 30th offers classics from Masterpiece.

And if all the summer activities have you wanting more, have no fear: next month brings Carteret’s 42nd annual Ethnic Day Festival, coming September 15th to Carteret Park.
