Let the games begin! Saturday, July 16th marks the Mayor’s Trophy 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament in Piscataway. Beginning at 10 o’clock in the morning at Quibbletown Park, the tournament offers students entering grades 6 through 9 a chance to dribble and dunk their way to glory. With two age brackets and separate categories for boys and girls, there’s opportunity for middle-schoolers of all ages to do friendly battle with their peers on the courts.

Registration closed on July 8th, but there’s always space for more enthusiastic fans. Whether you’re a budding athlete or just want to cheer ’em on, head on over to the Mayor’s Trophy Tournament this Saturday. Quibbletown Park is located on Academy Street in Piscataway.

This annual tradition marks just one of the many summer events afloat in Piscataway. The township’s summer concert series is already in full swing, kicking off with the Celtic/classic rock fusion of the Mulligans this past week. Look forward to the JPD Project’s jazzy sounds on Thursday, July 21st at 7pm at the Columbus Park gazebo, located at Lakeview Avenue, New Market Road and Williams Street. For more information about the series, check out the Piscataway Cultural Arts Commission flyer.
