Spend a day channeling the tastes, smells and sounds of Eastern Europe–all from Rahway, New Jersey. On February 18th, St. Thomas the Apostle Byzantine Catholic Church will host the Slavonic Festival, an day of exploring and celebrating different aspects of Slavonic culture.

From noon through 10pm, visitors will be transported across the Atlantic via song, dance, game and, of course, food. Love sauerkraut and kielbasa? Chomp into the taste sensation. Or how about some goulash? Explore the familiar and the new at this year’s festival.

In addition, visitors can look forward to live ethnic and modern dance music courtesy of local musical act “Family Traditions,” plus a craft fair, take out food, church tours and more.

This event marks the 25th year in which St. Thomas has hosted a Slavonic Festival. Participate in this year’s event to join in the honored tradition!
