The weather is warming up, and the great outdoors are calling. What better way to say hello to springtime than with a run around one of New Jersey’s beautiful parks?
On Saturday, April 5th, head over to Hillsborough’s Ann Van Middlesworth Park to do just that, and join the many township residents and visitors who are participating in this year’s Run Around the Park 5k. The 5k is a noncompetitive event open to runners of all ages and abilities, and designed to bring the community together and motivate people to stay fit in Hillsborough’s parks. It’s also a great opportunity to start exploring the nooks and crannies of Ann Van Middlesworth Park, and maybe even build new connections with the park system.
The run begins at 9:30 am; arrive between 8:30 and 9:15 am for registration. At the end of the race, look forward to the Finish Line Festival, which will include refreshments, music and games. Participation is $20 for adults and $15 for children 12 and under. Pre-register online, by phone (908.369.4832) or in-person at the Parks and Recreation office.
