Starting at 2pm, the Flat Rock Brook Nature Association will be hosting a free group hike, which will be 2-3 miles long and will provide the opportunity to engage with the beautiful and under appreciated wonders of the Garden State in winter.
Flat Rock Brook trails wind through an Oak-Hickory forest, with streams, wetlands, quarry cliffs, woodlands, a pond and more. Look out for wintertime creatures, including all the fearless birds who stay put in the northeast in winter, including northern cardinals, chickadees, American Tree sparrows, and snowy owls.
