If you’re like me, you’ve probably got a couple of boxes of old photos, slides, reel to reels and the like sitting in storage. The sad news is that these fragile, precious mementos of our past do not last forever. How can we turn back the tides of time to continue to appreciate and pass on our photos to our family for generations? The good news is that digitization is here to not only preserve your photo valuables but in many cases you can repair or even improve that which has faded, ripped or discolored!

Woodbridge residents at  Fox Hill RunForest ViewEvergreen EastEvergreen Forest and Cloverleaf Gardens will have a clear head start when the Woodbridge Public Library presents on November 4 @7pm an exclusive virtual presentation entitled “Preserving Family Photos.”

Led by Gary Saretzky, Archivist at the Monmouth County Archives, participants will learn how their old photo media can be preserved and passed on to future generations. The lecture includes examples of how old photos can be enhanced or restored in the computer after digitization.
