One of New Jersey’s oldest townships, Piscataway offers much by way of culture and history. This summer has marked yet one more way to enjoy the township and its offerings: the Piscataway Summer Concert Series, taking place at the Columbus Park Gazebo.
Hosted by the Piscataway Cultural Arts Commission, the series kicked off on June 30th with a performance by Jim Barone, an Elvis Presley tribute artist. Since then, the gazebo has seen songs from Buddy Holly and Roy Orbison, New Orleans soul and funk, a Caribbean night and British invasion covers. Still coming up are Shaman, a Santana Tribute Band, performing on August 11th, plus a night featuring the best of John Mellencamp on August 18th, and, finally, an R&B, motown, classic rock sing-along on August 25th.
Summer may be in its final weeks, but in Piscataway, the fun’s just getting started.
