Fortunately, there’s the bi-weekly Open Mic Night at the Perth Amboy Gallery Center for the Arts. Put on in conjunction with the Office of Recreation, this community performance night provides the opportunity for Perth Amboy residents to take the stage and share their talents. Held the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month from 7 to 10pm, the event offers poetry, music, monologues and more. Watch as your friends and neighbors take the stage–and maybe get inspired to show the community something you’ve been wanting to share.
