It was 1985 and the star that shone brightest in Major League Baseball was Dwight Gooden. In that year Gooden pitched one of the most statistically dominating single seasons in baseball history; 4 wins, 268 strikeouts and an ERA of 1.53 earned Gooden the major leagues coveted Triple Crown. At only 21 years of age, Gooden found himself the winner of both the Cy Young Award & MLB’s Pitcher of the Year Award.

Old Bridge residents at Woodhaven CommonsWoodhaven Meadows and Woodhaven Terrace are invited to shake the hand of the legend himself come Sunday, June 11 when Dwight Gooden will appear at The Sportscard and Memorabila Show taking place at the Knights of Columbus hall at 61 Pine Street from 1-5pm.

Whether you’re a fan of baseball, basketball, football or hockey, prepare to browse through a wide selection of sportscards and memorabilia items from various vendors. While the event is free, you’ll need to register by clicking here for autographs and photo ops with Mr. Gooden.
