As the days get shorter, the bright lights of the season bring a little magic to our communities. And all around the Garden State, towns and boroughs are hosting community tree lighting events to bring an official start to the season.

If you’re in North Brunswick, head to the front lawn of the municipal building at 7pm on December 6th for the town’s annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony. After last year’s ceremony was held virtually, this year’s in-person event will be a welcome return to normal, bringing community spirit and the warmth of the season. With COVID in mind, attendees are asked to please wear masks to the ceremony to ensure safety for all. The North Brunswick municipal building is located at 710 Hermann Road in North Brunswick.

Also upcoming in North Brunswick is the much-beloved Santa Trail, to be held the evening of December 17th at North Brunswick Community Park, located at 2053 Route 130 South. The trail offers a holiday-character filled journey, complete with hot cocoa and cookies and the opportunity to deliver letters to Santa. Register online or call 732-247-0922, ext. 485.
