Director Christopher Nolan may very well be one of the great cinematic auteurs of our time. I became aware of his gift early on after seeing the movie MEMENTO in 2000. His subsequent releases (ie. THE DARK KNIGHT TRILOGY’s, INTERSTELLAR, INCEPTION, TENET to name a few) continue to stretch the construction of time, metaphysics and the perceived realities of identity and memory in manners both complex and sublime.

Old Bridge residents at Woodhaven CommonsWoodhaven Meadows and Woodhaven Terrace can enjoy Nolans’ newest movie OPPENHEIMER on February 9 @ 2:30pm at the Old Bridge Public Library. The movie chronicles J. Robert Oppenheimer’s work on the Manhattan Project during World War 2 leading to the development of the atomic bomb. This release stands as Nolans’ most lauded to date having secured 13(!) Oscar nominations. The movie will be screened in the large meeting room and while registration is not required to attend, you can expect to see a sizable turnout. The movie is rated R and and for those 17 and under, an accompanying parent or guardian is required.
