With all the increasing costs associated with travel, New Jersey residents can feel some relief: this week, NJ Transit and the Port Authority of NY and NJ announced new pricing for trips to and from Newark Liberty International Airport. From now until January 2nd, 2011, riders can enjoy a host of discounts–making air travel cheaper and easier.

The new pricing model includes cheaper fares for journeys to and from Newark Airport for families. An extension of NJ Transit’s Family SuperSaver Program, the new prices allow up to two children aged 11 and under to travel free with each parent. This means that a trip for a family of four from Edison Station to the airport now costs just $27.50. Metropark Station to the airport costs the same family just $23.

In addition, NJ Transit has announced a new online rail trip planner for trips to the airport, making it easier to get where you need to be, when you need to be there. Visit NJTransit.com to learn how these new promotions will help make your holiday season travel plans cheaper and simpler.
