This past year, NJ Monthly Magazine named Florham Park one of the top 20 towns in New Jersey. How did Florham Park achieve this praiseworthy distinction?
With top-ranked, blue-ribbon schools, a community ethos of pitching in and working together to make the town flourish, a heralded summer concert series at the gazebo, and regionally recognized 4th of July fireworks celebration, Florham park brings together a range of elements to become the desirable town that it is. The borough is proud home to a range of shopping, dining, educational and athletic offerings, and works to nurture a spirit of community across the population.
In addition, the borough is home to the Florham Park Environmental Commission, working hard to cultivate and create open, green spaces within the community. This means restoration projects, plantings, pocket parks, and more. Since 1999, this community organization has worked to make recommendations to local government, plan for and inform the public about environmental initiatives, and help Florham Park as a whole become an ever-better steward of the land. Through these initiatives, Florham Park continues to thrive as a healthy, vibrant green community.
