Since the 1970s, Meadowlands Racetrack in East Rutherford, NJ has been the destination location for thoroughbred racing fans in the Garden State. Since this past August, we’ve been in the off-season, which has meant no live races at the track. On Friday, December 28th, the new racing season will begin—and fans from near and far are eagerly counting down til the hooves hit the racetrack once more.
Opening Weekend for live harness racing will begin at 7:15pm. Admission and program are free. On Saturday, December 29th, the Meadowlands will be giving away free 2013 color wall calendars while supplies last.
