In Lawrenceville, summer is filled with music. Thursday nights from June through August, Weeden Park is home to the town’s Summer Community Concert Series, Music in the Park. If you haven’t made it out yet, don’t despair — the series runs through August 24th.
This summer has already brought sounds from the likes of SunDog, a cover band performing songs from the 60s to today, as well as RGM project, a contemporary blues/jazz/funk fusion band; Ed Goldberg and Odessa Klezmer Band; and more. Next Thursday, look forward to sounds from BD Lenz All Stars, a “high energy ensemble” featuring classic covers from the worlds of funk, motown, reggae, jazz and more. On August 17th, look forward to Kindred Spirit, a cover band that’s been playing rock n’ roll favorites in Central NJ for over 13 years, while August 24th, Rick Fiori will be playing.
Now in its 17th year, Music in the Park is a township tradition you don’t want to miss.
