On Friday, November 11th, the United States will once more observe Veterans Day. A day to commemorate those who have fought to defend our nation and our liberties, Veterans Day honors the sacrifices made by United States soldiers in order to preserve the American way of life.
In Montgomery Township, the Montgomery Veterans Memorial Committee has been working since 2001 towards the construction of a lasting Memorial dedicated to Montgomery residents who lost their lives or fought in any of our nation’s wars. Since breaking ground on April 29th of this year, construction has progressed rapidly. This Veterans Day, the Memorial will be formally dedicated to veterans who have defended the United States of America in times of war.
