Each summer, Monroe Township residents gather at the Thompson Park Gazebo for “Music in the Park,” a concert series bringing exciting musical acts to the Monroe community. This year’s events have brought swing and country to the township as “They Ain’t Misbehavin'” and “Rich Yorke and the Cane Switch Band” have hit the gazebo stage.
As the summer continues, the bands will play on: on July 29th, residents can get a taste of Russian life during “Moscow Nights,” an “authentic program of Russian folk music,” complete with “costumes and vocal performances.” On August 5th, Latin flavor will take hold of Thompson Park as “Rhythm and Roots and Josh Robinson” gets underway.
