Choo-choo! The holiday season means the return of the Annual Holiday Model Train Exhibit to the Barron Arts Center. Now in its 28th year, this family exhibit and township tradition offers the opportunity to see exquisite model trains curated by Colonia resident Michael Gelesky.
The trains, set on hundreds of feet of track, are fascinating and beautiful for residents young and old. Look forward to detailed renderings of trains both vintage and new, plus a number of “scenes.” In previous years, those scenes have included a Main Street USA, a mountain town, and a boardwalk with rides and a monorail. Gelesky is a lifelong collector of trains, building his collection since age five and continuously adding to his array of train-related paraphernalia.
This year’s train exhibition is free and on view from 11am to 4pm from November 30th to December 30th, 2018.
