Hidden behind the shops, houses, schools and libraries of Middlesex County, NJ lies a natural resource that provides space to run, walk, bike and more. A 3.5 mile, 42-acre trail running through Metuchen, Edison and Woodbridge, the Middlesex Greenway connects communities and people, offering accessible points of entry along the entirety of its route.
The site on which the Middlesex Greenway sits was once part of the Lehigh Valley Rail Corridor. Abandoned as a railroad track, the Greenway was purchased by Middlesex County in 2002 and has been revamped and relaunched as a location for recreation, fitness and the outdoors. An excellent public health resource and unique tract of the landscape, the Greenway is also a boon to local businesses, as it attracts local visitors and tourists alike.
