In an effort to get the pandemic under control and return everyone to a sense of normalcy, New Jersey has opened six vaccine megasites, each of which has the capacity to vaccinate thousands of people a day against the coronavirus. These sites exist alongside a host of private, municipal and county-based vaccine sites, which have allowed the state to quickly and efficiently deliver millions of doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna vaccines.

One of those sites is located in Middlesex County — in Edison Township, to be precise. The site, operated by RWJBarnabas Health, has 20 vaccine stations, currently vaccinating almost 3000 people a day. Currently, Garden State residents who fall into one of the following categories are eligible to receive a vaccine: healthcare workers, residents and workers of long-term care and high-risk congregate care facilities, first responders including sworn law enforcement and fire professionals, individuals aged over 65, and individuals aged 16-64 that have certain medical conditions that increase the risk of severe illness from the virus.

To sign up for the megasite, register online. You’ll be contacted by email when an appointment slot opens up for you.
