When Broadways’ “Hamilton” hit the street, the effect was immediate. Lin-Manuel Miranda’s groundbreaking play would use Hip Hop seamlessly connecting story line, characters, drama and movement to set even higher standards of excellence for the Great White Way and the Hip Hop art form.

Directed and choreographed by Jennifer Weber, “The Hip Hop Nutcracker” is a contemporary dance spectacle set to Tchaikovsky’s timeless music. It’s none other than one of Hip Hop’s original founding fathers, Kurtis Blow who’ll be your MC with a short opening set before featuring this updated classic ballet reset in contemporary New York City.
