This December, take a journey through Christmases past. All month, the Liberty Hall Museum in Union Township will be decorated to reflect no fewer than five different Christmas styles–spanning from the Dutch style in 1774 to a World War II Christmas in 1942.

Situated at Kean University, the Liberty Hall Museum was built over 200 years ago as Liberty Hall–right on the cusp of the American Revolution. Originally built as a family home, this beautiful building has expanded to house generations of Americans in a growing and constantly evolving nation. Today, the structure stands as a bounty of American history, filled with artifacts and cultural memories, preserved with an eye towards keeping the past alive for the future.

This month, Liberty Hall Museum is filled with an array of holiday events–from Afternoon Tea to a Gingerbread House Workshop to a Christmas Tree Ornament Workshop and more. On December 18th, guests can look forward to “Breakfast with Santa.” A hot breakfast and a ride with Santa on his sleigh? ‘Tis the season to be jolly, indeed.
