In the grand tradition of townships in New Jersey and their high-quality summer entertainment offerings, Lawrenceville has been hosting a summer concert series. Now in its 15th year, Music in the Park brings established regional musicians to Lawrenceville’s Weeden Park for outdoor concerts that entertain from June through August.
This year, Lawrenceville has hosting a range of talent, crossing genres and style including cover bands and original artists, and ranging from blues to bluegrass to funk.
This August, the series will close out with three high-caliber performances. On Thursday, August 6th at 7pm, Paul Blumeri Blues will be playing, with food from Acacia. On August 13th at 7pm, the rock-and-roll cover band Kindred Spirit will take the stage, with food from Gingered Peach. And to close out the 2015 season, on August 20th at 6:30pm, the Beagles, “a fun loving Mercer/Bucks County sextet that plays power pop, rock and soul originals and covers tunes dating from the early 60s through 2015” will perform, with food from Fedora’s Cafe and Catering starting at 6pm.
Check out the full summer concert schedule here. In the event of rain, concerts will be held at the Presbyterian Church of Lawrenceville.
