Summer is around the corner, and in North Brunswick, that means concerts, fishing, sports and, of course, the North Brunswick Youth Sports Festival–all before we even hit July.
This Father’s Day, bond with Pops in a classic way: on Sunday, June 17th, cast your line and await a catch at the 36th Annual Fishing Derby. Held from 11am to 1pm at Boyd Pond, located off of Boyd Parkway near Independence Boulevard, the derby is a great wait to enjoy the outdoors, engage in some light banter, and try your luck as an angler.
From Thursday, June 14th through Sunday, June 24th, head on over to the North Brunswick Youth Sports Festival. Held on Route 1 North near DeVry University, this annual event–now in its 15th year–features a petting zoo, circus, horse exhibit, sea lion splash show, and rides, rides, rides. Highlights include the epic fireworks show, to be held Saturday, June 23rd at 10pm. The festival will be open Mon-Thurs from 6pm-11pm,Fri 6pm-12am, Sat 6pm-12am and Sun 3pm-11pm. Admission costs $4 per day.
