Plays-in-the-Park is a beloved summer Middlesex County tradition. But did you know that it pops up each December as well? Every winter, Plays-in-the-Park stages a production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at the State Theatre on Livingston Avenue in New Brunswick.

Now in its 23rd year, the annual show is a retelling of the Biblical story of Joseph, the favorite son of Jacob, who is betrayed by his brothers, sold into slavery and, through his ability to interpret dreams, rises to power in Egypt. The musical features such favorite songs as “Any Dream Will Do,” “Close Every Door,” and “Go, Go, Go Joseph,” and is sure to be a crowd-pleaser.

This years shows will be held on December 28th, 29th and 30th. Tickets are available via the State Theatre website.
