The fall is the best time to catch nature’s splendor: the changing color of the leaves show the trees in their full beauty, and it’s a great opportunity to spend time in the great outdoors. And on Saturday, October 5th, Jackson will be hosting the 25th Annual Fall Forestry Festival, a day filled with outdoor-themed activities for children and adults alike.

Attendees can look forward to beautiful guided hikes, hayrides, acorn planting, nature crafting and much more. The day will include nature talks, a live snake session, woodworking and maple sugaring demonstrations, along with workshops on beekeeping, forest fires, and a whole host of other nature skills. Guests will also get to meet Smokey Bear and help him celebrate his birthday as he turns 75 years old.

The Jackson Fall Forestry Festival will take place at the Forest Resource Education Center, located at 495 Don Connor Blvd in Jackson, NJ.
