We all know the feeling of being cooped up all too well as we cautiously emerge from the pandemic. Here’s some good news for Woodbridge residents at  Fox Hill RunForest View, Evergreen East, Evergreen Forest and Cloverleaf Gardens…the Woodbridge fireworks ARE BACK this summer and have been moved forward from July 4 to July 2! Festivities take place at Alvin P. Williams Park in the Sewaren section. Gates open at 4pm and here’s some more really good news…the well known band “The Nerds” will play before and after fireworks making this comeback Independence Day celebration a rocking good time!

Critics call The Nerds the “best cover band in the world”. Some highlights include selling out Carnegie Hall, PNC Arts Center in NJ, PNC Arts Center in Raleigh NC, Rockefeller Center, Lincoln Centre, and every major site in New York. Through the years they have performed in the top venues in 38 states. Sharing and co-billing shows is a Nerds specialty. Some acts have included Maroon 5, Hootie and the Blowfish, Harry Connick JR., Earth, Wind & Fire, Sheryl Crow, Southside Johnny, Grand Funk Railroad, The Go Go’s, Kool and The Gang, and Train, to name only a few. Who knows what could happen – once in a while Jon Bon Jovi will get up on the stage and play along with the band!
