‘Tis the season yet again. Thanksgiving is coming up this week, and that means turkey, cranberry sauce and togetherness at residences around New Jersey. On Thursday, November 22nd, considering volunteering at Woodbridge’s First Congregational Church, located at 539 Barron Avenue opposite Woodbridge Middle School, for the Annual Traditional Thanksgiving Holiday Meal. Hosted by Woodbridge Township Women of Faith and the Woodbridge Interfaith Clergy Council, this yearly event offers a delicious Thanksgiving meal free of charge from 1-3pm.

After Thanksgiving, the holiday season will hit its stride, beginning with the 5th Annual Holiday Stroll Down Main Street, to be held on Woodbridge’s Main Street on Saturday, November 24th from 1pm to 4pm. Horse-drawn carriage rides, DJ entertainment, live performances, holiday carolers and more will make appearances—not to mention the featured guests, Mr. and Mrs. Claus, headed to the Garden State to start the countdown to the holidays.

On November 30th, residents are invited to attend the Holiday Train Showat Woodbridge’s Barron Arts Center, featuring the township Tree Lighting with Mayor John E. McCormac, to be held from 5-7pm. The location for this event is 582 Rahway Avenue.
