Who says winter needs to be an indoor affair? If you’re in Middlesex County, there’s plenty of opportunity to spend time outside — in the beautiful New Jersey landscape, at winter festivals and in town squares throughout the state.
On December 11th and 12th, Carteret will be the site of the Holiday Festival at Carteret Park. A beautiful way to transition to the holiday season, this event will come complete with a Christmas Tree lighting and carols, brought to attendees courtesy of the new community choir. This beloved annual tradition was first inaugurated in 2003, heralding community spirit and an enchanted winter wonderland atmosphere for residents and visitors alike. Previous years have included appearances by santa, horse and buggy rides, a carousel and children’s rides — plus warming refreshments like cider, roasted chestnuts, hot cocoa and more.
If you’re in Carteret, take advantage of the opportunity to commemorate the onset of holiday cheer with your community.
