The leaves are turning and pumpkins are appearing on doorsteps. As the days get shorter, we have officially entered the spookiest time of the year. And in Woodbridge, that means a whole host of events in the lead up to Halloween.

On Thursday, October 17th, head out to Parker Press Park, located at 400 Rahway Avenue, for “Stuff Your Own Scarecrow,” an event where township residents are invited to bring their old clothes and stuff them with hay to build their own strawmen. The following Thursday, October 24th, head back to Parker Press Park for more hay-based fun: an eerie twist on a fall harvest favorite, Woodbridge’s own Halloween Hay Rides. Want some more frights and delights? On October 19th, the European School of Dance & The Woodbridge Recreation Department will be at the park hosting Ghost Walks, kicking off at 6:30pm and departing every 15 minutes until 9pm. Come explore the township’s ghost-and-coincidence filled history and learn about Woodbridge’s unique history.

As the season gets underway, there’s much to look forward to in Woodbridge. With events like Trunk or Treat, a pre-Halloween drive-in screening of Monster House and much more, there’s plenty to get you into the Halloween spirit.
