Bring out your ghoulish ghosts and gruesome goblins: it’s Halloween in Woodbridge, and the township’s packing enough hoots, howls and horrors to stir even the most seasoned of trick-or-treaters. From October 22-24th, catch the Woodbridge Ghost Walk, offering a tour through the dark and stormy secrets of the past. This 55-minute tour features actors and actresses dressed in costume and enlivening the streets-all while providing some of the lesser-known tidbits of Woodbridge history. Tours run every 15 minutes from 6-8pm, beginning at Parker Press Park, and cost $3 per person.
For those looking for more present-day scares, the Woodbridge Haunted House will fill with fears on October 22nd and 23rd. Now in its 13th year, this annual fundraiser for the Woodbridge High School Choir is taking place at the Levitz Building on Route 1 South in Iselin. This year’s theme is “Fears, Phobias and Superstitions,” and costs $10 for adults, $5 for kids under 10. The Haunted House is open from 6-10pm, with lights on from 6-7pm for a more youngster-friendly haunted house experience.
