Like many American boomers, my first taste of Latin flavored dancing shot into my heart like cupids arrow after seeing the movie Dirty Dancing in 1987. My wife – an excellent dancer by the way – would attempt to guide me but, sadly and to no avail, I remain to this day a man of two left feet.
Perhaps that might change if I joined BestrentNJ.com Secaucus residents at RVR, Helix at Xchange and Next at Xchange, who are more inclined toward dance than myself when on Thursday October 29 @6:30pm the Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration comes to town at the Secaucus Recreation Center at 1200 Koelle Boulevard.
It looks to be a gala celebration of food and music by which to fuel a dance menu comprised of Salsa, Cha Cha, Merengue, Brazilian Zouk and Bachata. No partner is necessary and the event will be led by world renowned dance instructors so perhaps there may be hope after all for those eager to learn what I couldn’t once upon a time.
