The tulips are blooming, the sun is shining. Yes, it finally feels like springtime—and for Montgomery residents, that means lots of opportunities to spend time in the great outdoors.

On Sunday, May 5th, join Montgomery Friends of Open Space for First Sundays in the Park. Part of a series of monthly gatherings, this event provides the opportunity for Montgomery dwellers to meet up with their neighbors and enjoy the township’s vast stretches of parks, trails and open land.

This Sunday’s event starts at 11am and is themed “Functionally Fit in 3D.” Residents will convene at the Montgomery Park parking lot on Harlingen Road by the main picnic pavilion and will be led by a certified fitness, personal and functional movement trainer as they make their way along a mile-long loop—complete with stretching and movement. Interested participants should email mfosnj@gmail.com to RSVP.

Whether you make it to First Sundays or not, Montgomery provides plenty of opportunities to enjoy its outdoor space. Look forward to more great upcoming events coordinated by the Montgomery Friends of Open Space, including the Montgomery Friends Farmers’ Market, starting June 1st.
