For cinephiles, the “Wizard of Oz” remains a watershed advance in American filmmaking. I admit to being one of those individuals who embraced every frame, every word, every song and I continue to find pleasure and meaning when revisiting this classic on my 65 inch screen. 

This allegiance however may have stood in the way of initially joining my family when the movie “Wicked” came to theaters and having seen it recently, I regret my bias because the movie is amazing!
